It’s my cousin Vinnie, President Johnson, I mean Mr. Bush.
Remember the scene? The one where Ralph Macchio is explaining why he wants the seemingly idiotic Joe Pesci, his cousin Vinnie, as his lawyer? He describes how Vinnie absolutely blows a magician’s act out of the water by telling all the secrets of the on going act.
That’s how I feel. ‘Cept I ain’t got a cousin who’s one of “the two Utes” to tell the world that I’m givin’ up the truth
Listen. Right now, as I write this, the price at the gas pump per gallon is dropping faster than a hoe’s thong when faced with a twenty dollar bill, as only cousin Vinnie would put it. Now, what I want to say won’t take too long. They’ll go back up quicker than, well, the price of gas after Katrina and after every time after it has gone down since, if the republicans are voted back in.
We all see this right?!
Right.
But will we remember it in two months when gas is at a yearly low, down at pre Katrina levels.
There are so many obstacles facing the republican right wing assault on leadership in this country, it’s hard to know where to begin discussion. But they know where to begin collecting votes. At the pump. See they’re betting that you’ll forget the multibillion dollar profit quarters for all of big oil, the 300 billion dollar fiasco they’re calling a war in Iraq, the Weapons of Mass Destructions Ghost Act, Katrina and the Superdome, and all the other foolishness President Golly Gee and the court jester republican house allowed, supported and created on their watch. Right?
Right.
So today when he’s making his speech for labor day, what does he tell us? The press said he said that America must break its dependence on foreign oil. And for once I quote, and only because quoting is funnier than anything I could say as a paraphrase….
"Problem is, we get oil from some parts of the world, and they simply don't like us,…The more dependent we are on that type of energy, the less likely it will be that we are able to compete and so people can have good paying jobs."
Huh?
And tell me you didn’t laugh your ass off. Good payin’ jobs? When was the last time Mr. LAAAAAAARGE tax cuts for corporations and the rich gave a flyin’ rat’s ass, also known as a fuck, for what people who worked for a living got? As far as my eye can see he never has cared. Whether it was Katrina or his last budget for the wealthy, when did he give a good God dayum? What’s going on and what am I going to say about it all?
Well, most people who don’t view this bullshit from the sun would say that he told us in the rest of the speech when he started to discuss nuclear energy as a clean replacement fuel…..
And I always ask, “are you living in 1956?” when some body starts offering Nuclear death as an alternative. Three words. Three Mile Island. One word. Chernobyl. We did that. We been there. We seen that. Right?
Right.
Nuclear energy is right where it needs to be. A marginalized woof ticket in the energy alternative arena. It was a red herring for that speech. It was a Trojan Horse of a gift. It was true bullshit from the head bullshiter.
Since when does an oil man discuss nuclear energy? And make no mistake, George Bush is an oil man from a family of oil men. An oil man talks about nuclear energy as an alternative fuel when he wants you to do two things. He’s attempting to do what they call seizing the debate or shaping the discussion. First he wants you to forget about the incredible potential of ethanol to power this entire society using corn crops—remember when he told us that we can’t use 100% ethanol? Were you like me and screamed back, why the fuck not?!!!! Well the answer, if he gave you a truthful one would have been, “because then me and my cash money brothers wouldn’t get paid at all and that will never do because I’m supposed to get richer.” Secondly he wants you to argue about nuclear energy as an alternative for oil. It’ll keep you busy thinking while Exxon Mobile Bush Chaney continues to get paid.
Now let’s view this from the sun to really see what’s going on. The republican party is in trouble. Bad trouble. It’s the oldest story in the book. Absolute power corrupted absolutely. Some shits been going on since Bush took office and increased astronomically when the republicans took over the house. See the republican party just about gutted every humane program the federal government started since 1960 and replaced them with multi billion dollar oil industry quarterly profits buttressed by the silence emanating from 1600 Penn Ave., incredible tax cuts for the wealthy, painfully slow reconstruction in Katrina’s wake, failed foreign policy in Iraq which is so demonstrably similar to far east wars of the 60s that I wonder at times if I’m watching tape of a Bush speech or LBJ. I’ve got such political Déjà vu it hurts and I want to give me political science degree back to Columbia University. I can hear the republicans now screaming and yelling in my mind, “Terrorism is communism!” as they hope no one listens to the politically astute who try to pull back the wool shaved from the very baaaacks of the American voters from the people’s own eyes.
Keep viewing it from the sun now, How do we get out of trouble, if we’re the republican party? In the pockets of the voters and let’s go one step further…. Not only is the price coming down. (They don’t have to say it because you already noticed it) But now we gotcha for the future. We working on the future. That’s the subtlety that was happening yesterday. You see the party knows that deeds won’t get this thing done in November, there have been too many failed promises let alone deeds by this administration which has 30% approval ratings now. In all his budget cutting program shafting he’s fucked over his own constituency, that’s the secret they’re not telling you is represented by that number. That combination has historically spelled doom for the midterm house election for the President’s party. What they need is hope. But not hope they scream for, yell about. The situation is too far gone. They need to give the voters that subtle hope so they can get ‘em back long enough to fuck ‘em over again. It’s the Lucy factor, I like to call it. It’s that get Charlie Brown believing that one day he’ll actually get to kick the football hope.
Lower prices at the pumps, smaller quarterly profits. Let’s get off foreign energy supply—and by the way how come it’s taken him so long to figure that one out? If they want to use the approach now when they ain’t did a dayum thing about it in these lo six years they were sitting up there in the big house, doesn’t it just make them about the most moronic fools on the planet? Yes, it would if they actually planned to do something about it.
So that’s the plan, give the sheep hope and they Baaa Baaa Baack your party in November.
Only you won’t baaaack them, see, cause your cousin Vinnie already told you that the day after the election gas prices will go up faster than underwear on a ‘hoe that just got paid and taxes will continue to subsidize the rich and the new Bush in 2010 will be saying ‘’’Hole on now we can’t run it all on ethanol.”
As they continue to get rich....
View this from the sun now in the quiet of your mind. Fuel alternatives must be persued because they will save the planet, not because it will get anybody a better job. Ethanol, fuel cells(giant batteries), solar energy are what must be persued for the longevity of the human race not for the bottom line in the GNP. It is what is just, it is what is necessary. It is a choice that makes too much sense to be left to one of the most myopic perspectives on the planet.
And somebody some where please say it, “he’s lying. There’s no magic, there ain’t even a brain. He’s conspiring to keep oil prices high and gut social programs so the rich get richer.”
Just like your cousin Vinnie did right here…with a view from the sun.
And the first time Bush asks the smart mouth press cat in the audience how he knows the way his party's sheet is goin' down, watch as he says, "It’s my cousin Vinnie, President Johnson, I mean Mr. Bush."
*Profanity and crass images used with great regards to Mr. Dick Chaney in remembrance of his classy behavior in the House during which he told an esteemed member of the government to go fuck himself. As only My Cousin Vinnie could....
*for the sake of shorthand and otherwise funny allusion to the home and idiocy, all discussion of the house herein refers to the senate and congress.

New Orleans Superdome
Viewing this country from the sun, as hurricane season moves forward toward its end, one can not help but remember what happened in New Orleans last season. There needs to be no introduction, merely a cite. http://www.neworleanskatrinawitness.com.
For the day when all realize there is but one world, here, when viewed from the sun.

$2 dollars a barrel, liquid bombers, and it's WAR!!!!!
I decided to make this view from the sun a little lighter than it’s been. Though the world hasn’t been so. When he commented upon the recent arrest of the would be terrorist/liquid bombers in london by saying that we're at war with Islamic fascists, President Shrub let us all know that Christianity, I mean America, no I mean democracy… Ya know I don’t know what he means by the word we wether it's christianity, America, or rich and or white people. As far as I can tell those are all interchangeable for him. Any way some category of people whom he speaks for is at war with Islamic fascists. All the terms are thrown around pretty readily. For him, Kooks are fascists and by definition any one believing in Islam, in a holy war, is a kook so it follows that gas should be three dollars a gallon at the pump even though price per barrel dropped by two dollars in one day, right? Right. And the price at the pump dropped by mere pennies, right? Right.
They’re not connected you say?
Right.
I am reminded of the shots in films about war. You know the one with the newspaper spinning into focus. The headline reads: “It’s war!”
My favorite one would be Starship Troopers. You know the one where the republic is at war with the bugs from another galaxy. The movie spends 99% of the time following members of a high school class who join the military as they fight the big ugly monsters. You feel for the biped humans, know that righteousness, and hate the big nasty bugs. It’s not until the end that you’re given information about how the war started and why it continues. Seems that the bugs are sitting on and were sitting on an energy rich planet when they were minding their own business and were confronted secretly before they committed their act of war by retaliating. That couldn’t be familiar, right? Right.
I am in no way suggesting that America in its supreme red, White, and very Whiteness, and blue would ever secretly attack anyone then ride the retaliation to the war of righteousness. That would be base, vile even. There is no way this administration, run by two men from oil families, would create a war of righteousness that would give them control over the most energy rich region in the world whether by intimidation or overt war. And the fact that these resources are controlled by infidels, I mean Muslims, I mean heretics, I mean….I don’t know what I mean I keep getting my righteous wars and history mixed up.
And that is the point. We’ve heard it all before, seen it before, when it comes to war, as a race of humans. In 2006, if we view this world from the sun, if we are to be the spiritual adults who would change this world, who would be its true leaders in the sense that that word leader actually means something, we can not act like it’s us or them, them or us. We can’t lean back on the inquisition, the crusades, the Spanish American War, The Wild West war, The Native American Cleansings, The Far East Wars—Korea, Viet Nam et al…or any other foolish attempt to categorize foolish actions. We must embrace the unity of all men. We must realize that in that unity there will be differences, especially of faith.
That is the point we must make as we move forward. Timothy Mcveigh was categorized as a fool or some other name for a man who does antihuman acts, not a Christian infidel, or some other foolish name. That is how we must see these men who were to blow up planes over the Atlantic as they were bound for the United States. To continue to categorize people according to what they claim to worship gives light to their foolishness on their terms.
News flash Mr. President. People who commit horrendous acts or plan anti human acts in the name of God are not spiritual people. They do not truly worship whom they say they do. But “We” yes and I speak as part of those you wished to include in the inane comment about whom you believed this country was at war with, “we” must remember we do not call out a madman’s faith when he or she is Christian, so “we” can not do this when the idiot is not Christian. It smells too much like “cleansing, like Kosovo, like the crusades, no matter the country or era. And it feels too much like a bad movie we’re you’re hiding too much and we’re going to learn about the economics of war at the end.
Let it feel more like we are an enlightened people and the people we do fight are those we must because they are committing acts against humanity and every human’s understanding of God, and not let it sound like we fight any one because they say they believe in a God other than Christ and commit atrocious acts. Let us be the enlightened ones, even when viewed from the sun.

The price of tea in china, of oil on the west coast, of hurricanes, of war in the Middle East, and of over looking global warming.
Big Oil is getting ready to get even more paid. Repair of corrosion in the BP’s Alaskan pipe line is going to reduce overall U.S. supplies by about eight percent. All predictors of the price of gas and oil products are saying that this will lead to a spike in gas and possibly even heating oil prices in the country, but especially on the west coast. My response?
What’s that gotta do with the price of tea in China?
And it seems to be Big Oil's answer to every question about their profits raised by the government or the people. "It's complicated--how prices are that high."Our profits? What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?"
You recognize that right? When you were a kid, probably, and were in some discussion with an adult or even in a discussion with another adult, at some point they turned to you and asked it. It was a sure fire way of making you see how irrelevant and idiotic what you were mouthing was. Now that’s what we should say every time Big Oil comes up with some new reason why oil prices will fly even higher.
View this quagmire from the sun for a minute before you start smelling that mess they’re spewing. You see ordinarily in a capitalist economy, cost is affected by supply and demand. The less supply, the more demand, the greater the price. Ok. Nothing wrong there, but there is one factor left out. Greed. I’ve pointed out before in this space that the only true factor here is greed. Big Oil’s greed. You see they’ve gotten together and agreed to keep prices high and as long as the government allows it, there’s nothing that can be done about it.
So what are these disinformation leaks about the reason for a spike in gas prices? It’s damage control and expect one every three months or so until we get a president willing to take on Big Oil and send Antitrust Law attorneys after them. Before then all we get are artificially inflated prices and the occasional news leak as to why the prices almost doubled overnight and remain high.
They have to release these bullshit stories, reasons, or other wise moronic justifications for high prices every so often because sooner or later every one in America might just get pissed off that they are subsidizing fat cats and biting the bullet at the pump.
Keep looking down from the sun and you find that it is not the latest hurricane scare, corroded pipe, war in the Middle East or anything else which raises gas prices, which is the issue. Stay focused. The issue is the MULTI BILLION DOLLAR QUARTERLY PROFITS. They raise the price so that they can account for ANY foreseeable loss. Isn’t there something evil, something so Darth Vader about that? Isn’t there?
Any business man can raise his prices, the issue is would the public buy his products? Well when all the business men of a product necessary to keep a country’s whole economy going agree to keep prices high, you know what? The whole country keeps buying or the country grinds to a halt. I’ve got no choice but to by the inflated gas, I need to get to work to keep food in my mouth, just like every body else in America.
And they want to tell you to blame the politicians for allowing miles to the gallon standard to remain the same since the seventies. That’s not the issue. Congress and the Senate don’t have MULTIBILLION DOLLAR QUARTERLY PROFITS. Sure the standards could improve, the technology has been around forever. But a captured economy doesn’t have a choice. I don’t build cars and have to buy what’s on the lot. To the people who blame government, government is the reason why my budget is blown on getting to work.
BUT I DON’T SEE WASHINGTON REGISTERING MULTIBILLION DOLLAR QUARTERLY PROFITS.
But I do see Washington failing to do something about it. In a recent hearing with the Big Oil CEOs, one politician asked the Exxon CEO about his company finding a huge and I mean huge natural gas deposit in the ground then sealing it off. The CEO had nothing to say, even as he agreed they had. I understood the ramifications of that act as did every one listening.
And view it from the sun now, if you don’t understand it. By sealing off the huge deposit, Exxon artificially kept supply lower than it could have been and therefore kept demand as great, if not greater than their supply. They kept the price the same or made it higher!!!! Now maybe they have a right to “bank” product for a rainy day, but with MULTIBILLION DOLLAR QUARTERLY PROFITS do you wonder why they bank it?
I couldn’t stop thinking about that natural gas deposit as I read about BP’s busted pipe line reducing supply and sending up the prices at the pump. And I couldn’t stop thinking about 120 degree heat in NY, and what must be the hottest August I’ve ever felt. Aren’t these the issues, I kept thinking. Shouldn’t we be on ethanol if that’s going to stop this incredible warming? Shouldn’t Big Oil be talking about that, more economical, efficient, cleaner energy. Shouldn’t the government be doing that? Shouldn’t anybody be talking about this night and day, day and night, instead of how much and why? We get the point. We’re bent over with our head in a bag of rice with our pants down. Big Oil ain’t gonna change that because they’re behind us. But the government? Shouldn’t it be beating Big Oil off us, instead of trying to figure out what the price of gas has got to do with Middle East peace and the price of tea in China, because they seem to be researching this instead of whippin’ ass for MULTIBILLION DOLLAR QUARTERLY PROFITS during the highest gas prices ever….

Am I my brother's keeper? The price of oil, air, and water
This morning I read an article on line which told me to stop crying over gas prices and big oil companies' huge profits, that the companies are just doing their jobs.
http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Commentary/experts/Jubak/Jim_Jubak.aspx
I laughed and thought that I had to say this about that.....
And so it comes. Without fanfare, without splendor, and without any real sympathy or human kindness we are told to stop whining about major oil’s incredible profits. Multibillion dollar profits each quarter! We are told that EXXON and the rest are merely doing what they should making profit from selling their product. Look closely at this because someday these same types of people will admonish you for complaining about the price of air or water.
I won’t bore, patronize, or chide you by recounting the great fortunes being made on oil by the large companies amid the highest gas prices this country has ever seen. I won’t do the same by asking you to understand that this natural resource is going away, daily and that the earth is warming more than this Administration cares to admit. I won’t even discuss ethanol as a clean alternative to crude based fuels and that the technology has been available for decades. There is one reason that all of this is happening. Greed. Pure human greed. Big Oil is legally stealing. Purely, simply.
Some where, some time, right after Katrina, Big Oil figured it out. “High gas prices. More profit. Sure they’ll complain. But they won’t do anything. The President won’t. He’s Oil itself. The Supreme Court can’t, we haven’t broken any laws, except maybe antitrust, and that can’t be prosecuted unless the President does something. Only way they could is through the legislative and hell half them fat cat’s are on the payroll between our funding for their campaigns and stock issue. So let’s get paid.” They were all in agreement.
Don’t you see them now Big Oil, Bush, Cheney, and most of the two Houses; see them as Two bit hood Nino Brown takin’ over The Carter with his gang on New Year’s Eve at the club. “Cash Money Brothers, am I my brother’s keeper?” Except it’s a conference call on scrambled channels or on multiple cell phones where the cids are changed every five minutes so they can’t be traced or listened to because what they were/are discussing is very illegal.
Yes. Illegal. Big Oil wants to tell us that their equation for computing the price of their product is too complex. Although I doubt that, I don’t need to understand the means which got them there if the ends are so glaringly wrong. How about this Big Oil, if the price nets you ten billion in profit in one quarter, ya know what? The price is too fuckin’ high. Was that hard to understand? So how about an adjustment?
A digression. Antitrust laws were created to make sure that there would be no agreements between major corporations which would keep prices artificially higher than the forces of the market would sustain. Now that may be a little complicated but what it essentially means is that companies can’t get together and say, “fuck it since we’re the only source, and if we are the only source, we’re gonna charge astronomical prices and they have to pay it.” It’s the reason that corporations can’t get too big and some mergers have to be okayed by the Federal government.
So where is that law now? Antitrust enforcement is bound and gagged beneath George Shrub, ain’t I better than my daddy?, Bush’s heel, beneath Dick, I’m really the Emperor, Chaney’s smile. Stuck with two Oil fools for leader, there is no redress in sight.
I can remember watching one of the recent Big Oil hearings before congress. One of the august gentlemen interviewing a foolish CEO said, “there’s no law against making money….”
“Yes there is!!!” I screamed and immediately got a headache the size of Harlem. “And multibillion dollar QUARTERLY profits after 100 percent increases in gas prices across the board are proof positive of wrong doings!!”
Yea I know, it’s complicated, it’s complicated how they got that much money.
I was told once by a very good attorney that the more complex the facts involved the more simplistic the legal analysis. There’s always the one theme in all things. Think about that. Take anything you see as complicated and see the unifying thread, more than probably the thread is simple or it couldn’t tie them together.
Here we got greed in Big Oil and Government and a lot of lying. There is absolutely no reason why prices can’t be changed to reflect the obscene profits. But Big Oil stands there and tells us there may be a shortage….No shit. But does every other natural resource company charge more than God would allow? Any corporation could do the same. The true issue is would any one buy their product. The answer is yes, if they needed the product to participate in daily living.
One day they’ll tell us their purified air is worth the money after their polluted, diseased view of a way of life fully contaminates the air we need.
Some days I really feel like this is so many movies. One minute I’m in the Emperor’s New Clothes and I’m telling the world that Big Oil’s got no clothes the next it’s Nino Brown in the white house and I’ve got a damn headache.
Maybe I just have to wait for the purified air which I gotta buy for two weeks salary to get rid of the headache.
At the rate this is going my freshly bought purified air will be here before those in power truly realize that they are indeed every other person’s keeper and that is a great responsibility given to them by their creator. One which they are failing. One can only hope they understand this even now as it is viewed from the sun. It is so difficult, the pull of greed so real. But it is all we have, praying for the understanding of the spiritual advancement of our wealthier brothers, and the outlook is not good because right now I pay for all the water I drink. All the water I drink.

The Side of the Barn, A little war, a little peace on a Thriller Night the Survivor way.
They’re out to get you, there’s demons closing in on every side
They will possess you unless you change the number on your dial
Now is the time for you and I to “huddle” close together
All thru the night I’ll save you from the terror on the screen,
I’ll make you see…….
Michael Jackson, Thriller
Is it me or does this administration really think that the world is that dumb? In my last blog just a few days ago, I discussed a need for measured responses by enlightened human beings involved in conflicts across the planet because of the very dangerous times in which we live. Israel had just bombed the U.N. post in Lebanon. Yet that was not enough to change the most foolish analysis of a peace process I had ever heard.
And from the sun, let us view it one more time. The United States stood upon the shoulders of Israel or behind it, however you wanna see this gangsta mentality, and told the leaders of the world a line straight outta a mob flick, or an old Indian movie. But they weren’t speaking to the world population; they weren’t speaking to you and me because they could care less. They said, in sum, that Israel must be given time to defang, disarm, deal with Hezbollah before a peace initiative can be started. Let’s see, for those of you who don’t speak Shrub, and I know it’s hard because not every one speaks fool, he was saying that Israel had to be given time to bomb Lebanon all to the hell, before there could be peace. Ok. He really has to take his thumb out from between his cheeks cause brown logs just won’t stop coming out of that southwestern mouth. This position only works when war is the goal. Right? That’s not hard to see. Right? From up here next to the sun it really seems like a Bush War then Peace initiative.
“But the barn was right here…..”
Innocents. 56 innocents, two extended families, mostly women and children gathered in a three story building in Qana Lebanon to ride out another nightly bombing. Israel bombed them all the way back to Muslim hell, that must be their attitude, because that’s the emotional content behind their actions and this is a holy war after all. Regardless of what we’re told, we must believe they see it that way because both sides believe that. If you don't believe it, then you’re just as foolish as the people who came up with or believe the Bush War then Peace answer for the Lebanon issue. Sadly, just before 9/11, I was really thinking that War as a legitimate peace creation force had died to the human mind; I should say the Homo sapiens mind. I guess it still has, it just took Neanderthals to bring it back. Only a fool would believe War for Peace would work. The ends are so obvious to people who don’t live behind a fleet of secret service men surround by armies and weapons. People who want peace work for it. Period. I said period. People who want war work for it. Period. People who feel their vulnerability are more likely to move toward peace. Surely, aggression is a response to threat but only until the threat has been neutralized, not crushed. There is a difference. The desire for peace, for a lack of tension, a lack of deadly situations is only human nature, especially when dealing with the unstable international relations in the nuclear era, except for a few countries and I’ll give you one guess as to their identities.
Back in the day, I had a terrible wit and unconscionable will. I would dice up the souls of people with my tongue with out so much of a care. One day my brother told me, “you know when you winnin’ under the street light (craps), you can’t leave until you loose, you gotta give a muthafucka some ass to go home wit’ or you might not get home.” The idea didn’t sink in then. But it did later, thank God. Total control and domination lead to only one thing, isolation, and sides, and more death. Me and you versus them first, then Me versus you and them then….. It’s CBS Survivor played in back room parlor-tricks of the Bush lead Middle East “War First, Peace when I say so plan.”
They’re out to get you

Ever see the sun…..
Two nights ago I dreamed with a view from the sun. I was watching the world’s armies go to war. I know it’s hard to fathom now because we’re safe and world wide it’s democracy versus Islam, oh I mean terror. But what happens when…Oh and you can name any scenario you want but I’ll tell you one that’s very probable right now. Israel keeps bombing innocents in Lebanon back to Muslim hell and the Lebanese beg their brothers in Syria and Iran who turn around and say, “Ah what the hell, Virgins for everybody!!!” Israel then looks at Shrub and says…….
So there you have it. My dream or a version there of. But in my dream The Tower of Babel, famous for the lack of communication among other things, was torn loose from its foundation and walking the world, walking behind the great and powerful army. It grew the great Shrub’s head. Suddenly the peace loving population became personified and threw a rope around the feet which had grown under the building and it fell and crumbled into a million pieces. Lord, one can only hope cause right now Babel’s head citizen, President, if you will, speaks with a southern drawl and can barely read cue cards.
A madman once slept and dreamed that his armies were conquering the world. He awoke, his heart racing, and he believed this dream was a vision from God telling him to conquer the world. No, it wasn’t Shrub. At least I don’t think he’s foolish enough to dream that one. It was Hitler. But given Bush’s actions somebody or thing is gasin’ that head up. So I’m here to tell him the dream, that if he is dreaming that one, is a warning. With every dream of success, you are merely being asked, is this what you really want, what you really think is going to happen? It’s a rhetorical dream, but with Hitler’s humanity I.Q. Hitler couldn’t answer it. If Shrub shares that I.Q…., the stakes are simply too high. The world could be gone and that includes my and your life which could be lost in some dirty bomb strike. So let me tell you, Shrub and everyone else reading this…Those dreams of democracy covering the world, all the peoples liberated from the yoke of rich oil tyrants, except Exxon, Mobil, etcetera, is really just a…

I know, not Mygue Jackson again, but it’s the only image sixteen year olds understand so…
The dead crawling? That’s your reflection, that’s the world population, post nuclear disaster, post terrorist versus U.S. and another government War first then Peace later initiative. Those were the innocents in Qana, Lebanon. Those demons out to get you, closing in on every side? Those might be Al Qada, ain’t that how you say it? Or is it Al Quida? Any thing but Al Qaeda right? Now, those demons might be Iran, Syria, and Korea. Hopefully they’re the hounds of hell narrated by Vincent Price as they try to thank you for all the souls lost in this “skirmish” by your hand in continuing to help create a hell on earth. War for Peace?!!!!
Reader have you ever in your entire…I mean have you ever in your entire life heard such
Bull sheeeeeee…..
War for Peace. It’s so 1986. So 1886. So 1546. So 1326. So cold war. So United States ethnic cleansing of the Native American. So Crusade to reclaim the Holy Ground.
So 1984, George Orwell. So 2004 no need for a recount to splinter the country. So Shrub. So surreal…
In the enlightened wonderful era I see as a potential reality as I sit here next to the sun, the America I love and want to be a part of where every one shares the wealth, democratic ideals, and the vision of becoming a world leader in the necessity of peace and prosperity across the globe so that disease, pestilence, war and the rumor of war are just a memory, there is no place for such retroactive Neanderthal thinking… “
“Maybe hit big animal with large teeth on the tail, it never eat us again…..”
Oh pulease..
See terrorists aren’t the big animal with large teeth. War is. And viewing it from the sun means that war and the rumors of war means by necessity that innocents die. You serve war, trumpet war in any shape form or fashion and that means everyone loses.
And I think something broke inside this administration, or this administration can at least hear now, because now Condi’s talking about an immediate cease fire when before Bush had her walking with Club in hand toward the tail parroting the War for Peace line. Could it be that the Lebanese government is now starting to see Hezbollah as a legitimate tool in defending its population from a war mongering next door neighbor who, emboldened by the U.S., does not understand the meaning of proportionate response? There are undertones of this already. Could it be that everyone in Lebanon wants revenge? Would that not be a very human response? Israel wants to crush Hezbollah for just rockets and a kidnapping which have not caused nearly as much damage as the IDF bombings in Lebanon. Could it be that such cold indifference to the hostages of war caught in the cross fire have galvanized the Muslim brotherhood of all the nations in the region, even the moderate ones? I don’t have to tell you that is happening daily.
And before we go any further, look, view this shit from the sun, no body is buying lasting peace as a justification for allowing Israel to bomb Lebanon for as long as they want to. It’s the she’s a little bit pregnant; he’s kinda dead approach to the distinction between war and peace. At this point discussing this may be redundant but when the outside world needs to speak fool, one of the greatest communication tools is repetition. It’s not like a little bit war and a little bit peace aren’t mutually exclusive, see? And if you can’t, then a view from the sun would tell you they are.
But this little bit a war-little bit a peace approach is just what this administration has suggested from high atop the Tower of Babel. Wait, that’s it. It’s the Tower of Babel approach to peace!
Some where, like out of a bad, bad movie, there’s a character dressed in red paint saying, “Do not trust pale face. Him speak with fork tongue.”
And before anyone believes I’m partisan, that I’m rooting for someone, let’s get something clear. EVERY ONE LOSES IN WAR. The earth pays for the innocent life lost. Should we not have greater goals in mind, than pieces of the earth and death, revenge and triumph? Greater goals like peace, harmony, and prosperity, healing the earth? Every distraction is lost time from understanding what are humanity's enlightened goals, because to pursue them we must first understand them. And sitting here next to the sun, I can see it’s going to take some time to understand them.
Because right now what the administration of the most enlightened and wealthiest country of the world right now is doing is trumpeting a little bit of war for peace and using quantitative analysis of death to calculate a political stance on peace. The daily death toll on both sides was not large enough before now to call for a cease fire at least on one side of the mouth. Now we got good cop bad cop. Condi calls for a cease fire while the brains of the operation, and can’t you see him like out of a bad grade b sci-fi sitting on the throne, brain enclosed in a transparent helmet issuing orders, saying, “we need, I mean Israel must be given time to crush, I mean deal with A la Carte before there can be a cease fire.”
So now, we know. Two extended families, Some fifty six persons, mostly women and children is the number. How about this, we take every death, on both sides, and simply pretend a multiplier of fifty. Then will this Administration call for a cease fire out of one mouth, like the rest of the world and the UN? If it won't because of it's continued warped fears, come let's huddle close together, I can save you from the terror on the screen with a view of the whole world's problems, with true enlightened perspective, I'll make you see...Because viewing this from the sun, an immediate cease fire is and has always been the only way to deal with war and it certainly is the only thing to stop this Thriller Night The alternative is further US isolation, possible destruction at home, and more destruction in foreign lands cause if we don’t give ‘em something to go home wit’ they have a way of following us home. And I don't want more war or the rumor of war, either at home or as a citizen of of the world in dire need of our attention.
They will possess you unless you change the number on your dial
Now is the time for you and I to “huddle” close together
